As the Content Manager, you will play a crucial role in researching running topics, writing scripts, working as a producer on video shoots, planning logistics for shoots, and creating SEO-optimised editorial articles for our website..

Role Overview:

As the Content Manager, you will be responsible for driving the production of our video content while also managing the creation of SEO-optimised editorial articles for our website. You will work closely with the Production Lead, Campaigns Manager, and cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality and engaging content that resonates with our target audience. Your expertise in running, research, scriptwriting, video production, editorial writing, and SEO optimisation will be essential to the success of our content strategy.


  • Research running topics, trends, and best practices to identify compelling and informative content ideas for videos and editorial articles.
  • Create engaging and informative video scripts that align with The Running Channel’s objectives and resonate with our target audience.
  • Overall responsibility for the content on The Running Channel website. 
  • Create SEO-optimised editorial and review articles for the website based on research and scripts, adhering to brand and production guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Production Lead, Campaigns Manager and other team members to ensure the integration of content into campaign strategies.
  • Plan and manage the logistics for video shoots, including location scouting, equipment setup, and talent coordination.
  • Oversee the entire production process as required, ensuring smooth operations during shoots, including managing the crew, talent, and timelines.
  • Coordinate post-production activities, including video editing, sound design, and graphics integration.
  • Ensure adherence to brand guidelines, visual aesthetics, and quality standards throughout the video production and editorial writing processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends in video production, running content, SEO best practices, and emerging technologies.


  • In-depth knowledge of running topics, trends, and best practices.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to gather and analyse information from reliable sources.
  • Excellent writing ability with the capacity to create engaging, informative, and well-structured content.
  • Strong editorial writing skills with a focus on creating SEO-optimised content.
  • Experience with keyword research and implementing SEO strategies to enhance content visibility.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure high-quality production standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
