Company Overview:

We are a leading YouTube channel and social media publisher dedicated to creating engaging and informative content for runners around the world who are looking to improve, regardless of what improvement might mean to them. With a diverse range of topics and a growing subscriber base, we are seeking a skilled Videographer to join our team. As a Videographer, you will play a crucial role in capturing high-quality footage of runners and presenters, utilising handheld cameras, gimbals and audio equipment, and editing videos to produce engaging and visually appealing content.

Role Overview:

As the Videographer, you will be responsible for filming with runners and presenters, both outside and in our studio, to capture dynamic visuals that align with our brand’s objectives. You will utilize your expertise in shooting on the move, managing wireless audio equipment, and editing video footage to produce video content for YouTube and social media channels. Your ability to work in fast-paced environments, maintain technical proficiency, and deliver high-quality footage will be essential to the success of our video production.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Video Lead and members of the Production team to understand video requirements, objectives, and creative vision for each project.
  • Operate handheld cameras like the Sony FX30 to capture high-quality footage of runners during various activities, including training, races, and interviews.
  • Utilise your experience and skills to shoot on the move while maintaining stability and focus to capture dynamic visuals.
  • Set up and monitor wireless audio equipment to ensure clear and high-quality sound recordings during shoots.
  • Manage camera settings, exposure, lighting, and composition to achieve desired visual aesthetics.
  • Collaborate with the Video Lead and team members to plan and execute video shoots, including equipment setup and, if required, talent coordination and location scouting.
  • Capture B-roll footage, establishing shots, and other supplementary visuals to enhance storytelling in post-production.
  • Transfer, organise and backup raw footage to maintain a secure and efficient workflow.
  • Edit video footage using industry-standard software (Adobe Premiere Pro), ensuring high-quality visuals, smooth transitions, and proper synchronisation with audio.
  • Incorporate graphics, animations, and other visual elements as required and according to company brand guidelines to enhance video content.
  • Collaborate with the Production Lead, Video Lead and other team members during the post-production process to ensure consistent adherence to the brand’s visual style and messaging.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and emerging technologies in videography and video editing.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Videographer, preferably in the running or sports industry.
  • Proficiency in operating handheld cameras like the Sony FX30 to capture stable footage while shooting on the move.
  • Strong technical skills in managing camera settings, exposure, lighting, and composition.
  • Experience in monitoring and managing wireless audio equipment to capture clear and high-quality sound recordings.
  • Proficiency in video editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Familiarity with incorporating graphics, animations, and visual effects into video content.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt quickly to changing shooting conditions.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring the delivery of high-quality video footage.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of running and sports activities, allowing for an understanding of capturing relevant and engaging footage.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to contribute ideas and solutions to enhance video production.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the production team and talent.
