About me
As the writer at The Running Channel, most days I’m working on a few different stories for the website, or helping out with research for a video or podcast. On the website we cover everything from the latest news and race reports, to training tips and advice, pieces about nutrition, the latest running shoes or gear, and much more.
I’ve run over 25 marathons and ultramarathons, but I’ve never raced a 5k and have absolutely no intention of running one 🤮
I think most of the TRC team would consider me the biggest running nerd in the office. I’m here geeking out over the newest shoes or running research, following the latest news and races, and sharing all the random facts and science.
I’m a James Beard Award winning writer and I’ve written nine books, as well as regularly appearing on live TV – but none of that was about running. Before joining The Running Channel, I had what a lot of people would consider to be the best job in the world: I wrote about beer! I was literally paid to drink beer. And yes, it was a fun job, but now I get to write about running, and I think that’s the best job in the world!
Got some news to share? Is there a story or topic you think we should write about? Some gear you think we might want to review? Send me an email as I’d love to hear from you!
