By participating in the TRC Club Members’-only New York City Marathon competition (the “Competition”), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before entering.
1. Eligibility
1.1 The Competition is open to members of The Running Channel Club (“TRC Club”) who are over 18 years old at the time of entry.
1.2 Employees of The Running Channel, TRC Club or any affiliates, partners, or suppliers involved in the competition are not eligible to enter.
1.3 The Competition is open to participants worldwide, subject to local laws and regulations.
2. How to Enter
2.1 To enter the Competition, you must be an active member of TRC Club at 11:59pm GMT on Tuesday 18th February 2025.
2.2 A successful competition entry occurs when a person comments on the ‘TRC Club x NYC! Win a place in the New York City Marathon!’ post within TRC Club. Entries to the competition are free but membership is required to access the TRC club and its posts.
2.3 Each member comment will count as that member’s entry into the prize draw. Only one entry will be accepted per person.
3. Prize
3.1 The one (1) winner will receive (“Prize”):
3.2 The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other item.
3.3 The Prize does not include food and drink (except complimentary food and drink where applicable e.g., that which is offered free of charge by the airline).
3.4 The winner is responsible for any visa applications, travel insurance, and personal expenses incurred during the trip.
4. Competition Period
4.1 The Competition will run from 10am GMT Monday 17th February until 11:59pm GMT Tuesday 18th February (“Competition Period”).
4.2 Only members who have an active subscription to TRC Club at the deadline for entries will be eligible for the prize draw. The deadline for entries is 11:59pm GMT Tuesday 18th February.
5. Winner Selection
5.1 One (1) winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the Competition Period.
5.2 The winner will be notified by email or in-app notification within 7 days of the draw.
5.3 The winner will be required to respond within 7 days to claim the Prize. If the winner does not respond within this time, The Running Channel Club reserves the right to select an alternate winner.
6. Data Privacy
6.1 By entering the Competition, you agree to the collection, processing, and storage of your personal data by TRC Club in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6.2 Your personal data will only be used for the purpose of administering the Competition, notifying you if you win, and supplying the Prize.
6.3 Your personal data will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
7. General Terms
7.1 TRC Club reserves the right to cancel, amend, or suspend the Competition or these Terms and Conditions if circumstances arise outside of its control. Any changes to the Competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by TRC Club.
7.2 TRC Club reserves the right to disqualify any participant who is found to be in violation of these Terms and Conditions or engaging in fraudulent activity (e.g., creating multiple fake accounts to generate entries).
7.3 The Competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England, United Kingdom, and any disputes will be resolved within the jurisdiction of England, United Kingdom.
7.4 The Running Channel Club is not responsible for any technical issues or failures that may prevent entries from being successfully submitted.
7.5 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with YouTube, Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Network.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Running Channel Club shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from the Competition or the Prize.
8.2 The Running Channel Club is not responsible for any travel disruptions, visa rejections, or other external factors preventing the winner from claiming the Prize.
9. Acceptance of Terms
9.1 By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
