We’re delighted to bring you a NEW regular feature for the blog – chats with YOUR favourite runners! And we’re super excited to have ultra runner, FKT record setter and scavenger hunt lover, Damian Hall, up first:

Do you measure in miles or kms?

I still work in old money. For no real reason.

Do you listen to music or podcasts when you’re running? If so, what might we find on your playlist?

I like football, running and comedy podcasts. And Desert Island Discs. Obvs.

Do you measure your runs in time or distance?

Distance. It’s more satisfying somehow.

Do you prefer tights or shorts? Or shorts over tights?

I like to keep it short.

What are the key recovery techniques you use?

Tea. Foam roller. More tea.

What are you training for currently?

A boggy January jog in the Pennines.

How have you motivated yourself in 2020?

Scavenger hunts mainly.

You can watch Damian and Team Running Channel in our recent Trail Scavenger Hunt challenge below:

Who is inspiring you at the moment?

Claire Gallagher. Dan Lawson. Jim Mann.

What’s your best running memory?

Finishing UTMB with my kids (they were too fast for me).

If you weren’t able to run anymore, but could participate in any other activity, what would it be and why?

Tea drinking.
