TRACK & INTERVAL DISTANCE CONVERSIONS

On the running track, or for shorter reps, the conversion is as follows.

While 1 mile is 1,609m, for training purposes it’s generally considered accurate to regard 400m as ¼ mile and 800m as ½ mile, and so on. So if you have 800m reps planned and you work in miles, then 0.5 mile is close enough.

100 metres0.06 mile
200 metres0.12 mile
400 metres0.248 mile
600 metres0.37 mile
800 metres0.497 mile

1200 metres0.745 mile
1500 metres0.93 mile
1600 metres0.994 mile
