TRACK & INTERVAL DISTANCE CONVERSIONS
On the running track, or for shorter reps, the conversion is as follows.
While 1 mile is 1,609m, for training purposes it’s generally considered accurate to regard 400m as ¼ mile and 800m as ½ mile, and so on. So if you have 800m reps planned and you work in miles, then 0.5 mile is close enough.

200 metres | 0.12 mile |
400 metres | 0.248 mile |
600 metres | 0.37 mile |

1000 metres | 0.62 mile |
1200 metres | 0.745 mile |
1500 metres | 0.93 mile |
