As running continues to grow in popularity and excitement, we’re often wondering what’s next.

What running shoes should we be looking out for? What tech innovations are coming? What industry-wide trends are most relevant right now? Well, we’re soon going to have a place to find the answers to all those questions, and many more.

The International Running Expo, or IRX, will be the only show of its kind in Europe when it takes place on 4-5 November 2025 at RAI Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

There will be 300 exhibitors from the running industry met by 6,000 attendees from brands and retailers, plus industry professionals, athletes, running media and influencers, all there to see and hear more about what the running world can expect in the coming months and years.

It’ll be an exclusive chance to see the latest innovations in the running industry, providing a space to create new connections and engage in discussions about the running world – if you want to know what’s new and exciting in running, then you’ll hear about it first at IRX.

Andy Baddeley, CEO of The Running Channel, said: “Anything that brings people together who are passionate about getting more people running is a great thing! There’s a big focus on specialist running retailers – these are the guys that know the most about how runners run, and which shoes might help different types of runner. I still remember heading into my local running store for my first pair of trainers in the early 90s!”

“I’m also excited to see all of the biggest brands in one place and to get a sneak peek at all the technology that will be coming out soon. At The Running Channel, we’re lucky enough to be able to test most of the latest running shoes and tech, but it makes a big difference to hear about them straight from the teams who have been developing them, to make sure we understand exactly what went into the process and where the biggest innovations are.”

IRX will be the biggest event put on by the Raccoon Media Group, which also puts on the enormously popular National Running Show in the UK, and the Boston Run Show in the US.

The International Running Expo Event Director Shirry Liram said: “The International Running Expo provides an unmatched platform for innovation, collaboration and business acceleration. We are not only showcasing the latest advancements and trends but actively facilitating partnerships that will shape the future of running. This event is about empowering brands, retailers and professionals with the resources and connections to drive growth, elevate their impact and strengthen the running community across Europe and beyond,” adding that IRX “will be the largest running event in Europe and the early interest and commitment is extremely encouraging.”

Mike Seaman, CEO of Raccoon Media Group, explained that IRX is “creating a space where brands can make a real impact, industry professionals can gain insights that will push their businesses forward and we can all work together to shape the future of running.”

The first International Running Expo will take place at RAI Amsterdam from 4-5 November 2025.
