We have a pop-up cafe for The London Marathon
To support all the amazing runners taking on the London Marathon as well as their friends and family, and to celebrate our rebrand, we are opening our first-ever pop up cafe on the Strand for the weekend with loads of cool events and of course even cooler freebies.
Why is it called Mile 27? We are almost exactly 0.8 miles from the finish line of London, making us the perfect place to wander/hobble to after the race so we can celebrate your amazing achievement with you. Even if you’re not running the race itself, we’d still love to see you!
There will be free coffee on tap from Exhale Coffee, incredible free artwork posters to commemorate your marathon time, free t-shirts with our brand new branding and lots more! You can come in and chat to presenters and members of the team and have it as your place to meet your family post marathon.
We will be opening to the general public on the Saturday afternoon (2pm until 6pm) and for the whole of Sunday (10am until 7pm) but if you want to come hang out with us at a couple of exclusive events, read on…
Friday 21st:
6pm-9pm: We’ll head for an easy 5km shakeout run from the pop-up. Then there’s a party with free beer, soft drinks & music! (Limited spaces available – sign up here).
Saturday 22nd:
10am–1.30pm: Easy 5km run followed by a live recording of The Running Channel podcast where we’ll answer the audience’s questions. Free coffee supplied by the legends from Exhale Coffee. (Limited spaces available – sign up here).
2pm-6pm: Our doors will be open to everybody for free coffee, giveaways and a chance to chat!
Sunday 23rd:
10am-7pm: Our doors will be open to everybody for free coffee, giveaways and a chance for all race finishers to take home a free bespoke art print customised with their finish time.
