Here is the distance of a half marathon in km and miles, plus some helpful links for how long it takes to train for a half marathon and what to do in the week before a half marathon. 

HOW LONG IS A HALF MARATHON

A half marathon is 13.1 miles or 21.1 kilometres (21,097m to be exact). 

HOW LONG IS A MARATHON

A marathon is exactly twice as long as a half marathon.

A marathon is 26.2 miles or 42.2 kilometres, and here’s the reason WHY a marathon is 26.2 miles.
