Taking On The RAMSAY ROUND Pt 1 | Retracing Charlie Ramsay’s Route

11th September 2021

Running in the outdoors should be accessible for everyone but Black runners are underrepresented in the trail running community. Although Black people account for 4.5% of the UK population, they make up less than 1% of trail runners. We want to make sure that trail running, and running in general, is something that everyone can enjoy.

Join Black Trail Runners as they take on the epic challenge of completing the renowned Ramsay Round in the Scottish Highlands. Created by Black mountain runner Charlie Ramsay, the round comprises 56 miles, 28,500ft and climbing 23 Munros over 3,000ft in height – including Ben Nevis, the UK’s tallest mountain. Learn about the history of this round from Charlie Ramsay himself and follow the team as they tackle Munro after Munro.

Join Sabrina Pace-Humphreys as she pushes herself and her fellow runners to take on one of their biggest ever adventures whilst challenging the invisible boundaries to participation experienced by people of colour in trail running.
