Ever wondered how you could be a Guinness World Records holder for running a marathon if you’re not Paula Radcliffe?

Sunday 28th April 2019 will be the 12th consecutive year that Guinness World Records has partnered with the Virgin Money London Marathon, with on-the-finish-line record verification for a huge variety of costumed runners. This year there are 84 records that runners are hoping to break – including Running Channel presenter Kate Carter.

Kate’s hoping to achieve title of ‘Fastest Marathon in a Full-Body Animal Costume (Female)’ at the 2019 London Marathon and she’ll be doing it dressed as a panda! The current record is 4 hr 13 min 25 sec and was set by Fiona Betts (UK) at the Virgin Money London Marathon, in 2018, who ran dressed as a dog.
