Getting injured can be part and parcel of running, but people don’t often talk about how it makes them feel. There are a lot of rational and irrational thoughts that runners have as they come to terms with their injury – big or small – and as they look to get back out there doing what they love.
We’ve all been there, and The Running Channel’s Andy Baddeley has had his fair share of injuries, including major surgery as a professional athlete. While undertaking the Running Channel’s 10 Week Challenge to “Run A Faster 5k” Andy ended up picking up an injury which meant he was unable to complete the challenge, which is why he’s been quiet on here the last few months. In this video he documents his experience of being injured, how it makes him feel and the often slightly crazy thoughts he has.
